Introduction

Welcome Dear class mates.
My name is Jennifer Rosales. I am currently a junior at Camino Nuevo High School. This has been my second year in Camino Nuevo. Last year for my sophomore year I transferred from Belmont to Camino Nuevo. Camino Nuevo has actually been one of the most dedicating school I ever been too. Camino Nuevo has been challenging but inspirational when it comes to my education. Throughout these two years Camino Nuevo has prepared me as an educational individual. It has also showed me the importance of being an agent of social change. I have also learned the importance of education itself in order to be the “best” and succeed in life.
Throughout the many challenging classes Camino Nuevo has to offer I was interested in the AP English and Composition course. This particular class caught my attention when I was notified that it would help me increase my writing and reading skills. Increasing my writing and reading skills is important to me because at times writing becomes my passion to express what I feel and what I desire while reading could become my weakness. At times reading could become difficult due to the hard literature and the expand vocabulary of an author. It also caught my attention when I was informed that it was a college course class and it would help me gain credit for college while still being in high school. College for me is important because I want to provide my family and myself with a better future.

I believe you made the proper choice to transfer to camino nuevo. Camino nuevo is a small school but it is excellent if you want to continue your education after highschool. Camino Nuevo will ask a lot from you but will also give you a lot in the end. You will struggle, feel like you can not do something, or even cry but in the end all you sacrifices will pay off.
I agree when you say that this Advanced Placement class will increase your reading and writting skills, but the difference will not be shown only by being in this class but also by you putting in the hard work and dedication.

I think this school is smaller but more scholarly.Since you decided to come to this school i think you should feel more preassure to doing better work. The reason i am telling you this would be because your introduction was longer than your body.I think your body should of had all the information and not the introduction.I think you could do better work. The reason why would be because you did such a good job in your introduction and you probally got lazy and just did your body fast.Next time you should take the same amount of time for both of your passages. One thing i like was how you explain your topic in detail you had good information.

Hi Jennifer -- It's good to finally read your blog :) I thought your introduction was very interesting, and I'm glad you're excited to write about cultures.

Let me guide you a bit: your topic is rhetoric of culture. This means that the question you will be answering is, "How do the words of certain cultures shape them?" or perhaps "How do different cultures use words to persuade people into behaving and believing?"

Don't forget -- we are studying language.

Keep writing!
